Can users in mainland China enjoy EVPAD? If you own an EVPAD TV box or are planning to purchase one, understanding where the device can be used is essential. While EVPAD is designed to provide entertainment for overseas users, its regional compatibility and access to streaming services may vary depending on your location.
Whether you live in Singapore, Malaysia, or another country, choosing the right EVPAD version can help ensure a better entertainment experience. This guide explains EVPAD usage in mainland China, supported countries, and the differences between the International, Singapore Merlion, and Malaysia versions, including their shipping areas.
Can Users in Mainland China Enjoy EVPAD?
EVPAD is not recommended for use in mainland China due to regional restrictions and potential service compatibility issues. Although EVPAD offers access to various international entertainment applications, users should not assume that these services will function normally within mainland China.
Local internet regulations and restrictions on certain online services may affect the availability of EVPAD’s streaming features. Even if the device can connect to the internet, some applications or channels may remain inaccessible.
For this reason, users planning to bring an EVPAD TV box to mainland China should confirm compatibility with their seller or support provider before using the device.
Why Might EVPAD Face Restrictions in Mainland China?
EVPAD provides access to a wide variety of entertainment applications, including live TV channels, movies, and other online content. However, streaming services may be subject to different regional regulations and network policies.
In mainland China, certain overseas streaming platforms and internet services may be restricted or unavailable. These limitations can affect the viewing experience even when the EVPAD device itself remains connected to the internet.
It is important to understand that regional service restrictions do not necessarily mean the device has been permanently locked or damaged. Compatibility problems may involve individual applications, internet connectivity, or local service availability.
What Should You Know Before Bringing EVPAD to China?
If you are planning to travel to mainland China with your EVPAD TV box, consider the following precautions:
- Check your EVPAD version: Identify whether you are using the International, Singapore Merlion, or Malaysia Version.
- Confirm regional compatibility: Contact your EVPAD seller to check whether the device and its services are supported at your destination.
- Understand streaming limitations: Some applications and channels may not be accessible through local internet networks.
- Do not rely on VPN services: A VPN does not guarantee that EVPAD applications will function correctly and may introduce additional connectivity issues.
Important Note: Users are advised to avoid operating EVPAD in mainland China without first confirming regional compatibility. Even versions designed for worldwide use may encounter local network and streaming service restrictions.
In Which Countries Can EVPAD Be Used?
EVPAD offers three regional versions: the International Version (Global Version), Singapore Merlion Version, and Malaysia Version. These versions share similar hardware and entertainment features but differ in regional software optimization, usage coverage, and shipping availability.
The International Version is designed for worldwide use. Since November 20, 2025, the Singapore Merlion Version has been updated to offer the same features and worldwide usage coverage as the International Version, although it is exclusively distributed and shipped within Singapore. Meanwhile, the Malaysia Version is optimized for the Asian market.
EVPAD Supported Countries and Shipping Areas
The following table compares the supported regions and shipping availability of the three EVPAD versions.
| EVPAD Version | Supported Countries and Regions | Shipping Area |
|---|---|---|
| International Version (Global) | Worldwide, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, and other regions | Worldwide |
| Singapore Merlion Version | Worldwide, with the same regional compatibility and features as the International Version since November 20, 2025 | Singapore only |
| Malaysia Version | Asia only, including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, Brunei, Myanmar, and other Asian countries | Malaysia only |
Important Note: Supported regions indicate where each EVPAD version is designed to operate, while shipping areas refer to where the respective version can be purchased and delivered. Actual streaming service availability may vary depending on local network conditions, regional regulations, and individual applications. Users in mainland China should verify compatibility before use.
Understanding the Differences Between EVPAD Regional Versions
Although EVPAD versions offer similar entertainment features, selecting the right edition is important for regional compatibility and purchasing availability. Each version is designed for a particular market, with software optimization and distribution policies tailored to different users.
EVPAD International Version (Global Version)
The EVPAD International Version is designed for users living in different countries and regions worldwide. It is particularly suitable for overseas Chinese communities and international users looking for access to compatible entertainment applications and multilingual content.
With worldwide regional coverage, the International Version is a practical option for users in North America, Europe, Australia, and various Asian countries. It may also be suitable for people who frequently travel or relocate internationally.
Unlike the Singapore Merlion and Malaysia versions, the International Version is available for worldwide shipping.
However, worldwide compatibility does not guarantee that every streaming application or channel will be accessible in every country. Local network policies and service availability should still be considered.
EVPAD Singapore Merlion Version
The EVPAD Singapore Merlion Version is a special edition distributed exclusively in Singapore. It is intended for customers purchasing EVPAD within the Singapore market.
Since November 20, 2025, the Singapore Merlion Version has offered the same features and worldwide usage coverage as the International Version. This update means that its regional compatibility is no longer limited to the Singapore market.
For example, users who purchase the Singapore Merlion Version in Singapore may also use their device in other supported countries, depending on local network conditions and streaming service availability.
The main difference is its distribution policy. While the International Version can be shipped worldwide, the Singapore Merlion Version is exclusively sold and shipped within Singapore.
For users living in Singapore, the Merlion Version provides a locally available option with the same regional usage coverage as the International Version.
EVPAD Malaysia Version
The EVPAD Malaysia Version is optimized for users in Malaysia and other supported Asian markets. It offers entertainment features comparable to the other regional editions, with software optimization intended for local viewing preferences.
This version is suitable for users in Malaysia and supported Asian countries, including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and neighboring regions.
Unlike the International and Singapore Merlion versions, the Malaysia Version is designed for use within Asia and is not supported in North America or Europe.
Additionally, the Malaysia Version is distributed and shipped exclusively within Malaysia. Users planning to move outside Asia should consider the International Version instead.
What Affects EVPAD Compatibility in Different Countries?
Even when an EVPAD version supports a particular country, the actual viewing experience may vary depending on several factors. Understanding these conditions can help users avoid unexpected interruptions when using their TV box overseas.
Internet Connection and Network Conditions
EVPAD requires an internet connection to access online entertainment applications and streaming services. A stable Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection is important for smooth playback, especially when watching high-definition content.
However, connecting to the internet does not guarantee that every application will function correctly. Local network restrictions and service provider policies may affect connectivity in certain countries.
Streaming Apps and Regional Content Availability
Streaming applications and TV channels may have geographic restrictions based on content licensing agreements, service policies, and local regulations.
Therefore, EVPAD’s regional compatibility and the availability of individual streaming services are not necessarily the same. A device may operate normally while certain applications or channels remain unavailable in a particular country.
EVPAD Model and Software Version
Different EVPAD models may have different software requirements, supported applications, and available updates. Keeping the device software updated can help maintain compatibility with supported services.
Before using EVPAD in another country, check your device model, regional edition, and software version. If you are unsure about regional support, contact your EVPAD seller for assistance.
